I've been doing stuff with computers since the sixties. During that time I've encountered many great tutorials (both in books and online) that have enabled me to develop as a software creator. Much of my time has been spent in coming up with tutorials of my own so that I can pass on what I have learnt.

My latest offering is "Web Game Creation Tutorials" wherein I try to introduce web basics in an interesting and engaging manner assuming no previous knowledge. My approach is quite radical in that I only introduce the minimum at each stage of development. My first "program" is only one line and yet it produces a playing card which when clicked or tapped turns over.

Think of how we learn to speak. We're not exposed to dictionaries or grammars. We simply listen and try to copy what we hear. That is the approach that I have taken with these 17 projects. Consequently it is vital that they be done in order.

The Web Game Creation Tutorials have been available for several years now but as yet (October 2024) I've had no feedback and suspect that they have not been discovered by very many people. As I don't use social media I have no way of spreading the word so maybe if you know someone who might be interested, you could send them a link to this page.

I've even bundled everything into a single zip file so they can be loaded onto a computer and then worked through without being connected to the Internet!
