Let's Make a Deal is a television game show that originated in the United States in 1963. Monty Hall served as its host for many years. A successful contestant is offered the choice of 3 doors - a car is the prize behind one of the doors. Behind the other two doors is a booby prize affectionally referred to as a zonk.
After the contestant chooses a door, the host opens one of the other two doors revealing a zonk. The contestant may now stay with his choice or switch to the other door. What should he do? Does it make any difference?

Most people (even some accomplished mathematicians) maintain that it doesn't matter whether you switch or not - it's a straight out 50% chance. Maybe your playing around suggested otherwise?
