You can download a free demo version of Microworlds for either a Mac or Windows which is fully functional for 15 days or you can download this Windows version which doesn't offer printing or saving but is otherwise fully functional. |

In the beginning ... ... the logo turtle was a robot turtle connected to a computer - this was 1967! The turtle carried a pen which drew a line on the paper it was resting on as it moved. Commands were typed into the computer to make the turtle move. The language used was called "logo". The driving force behind all this was Seymour Papert. Today, logo has evolved so much that it has something to offer everyone ... word processing, music, sound, video, animation, ...
